it was an outstanding experience. Dawn was knowledgeable and friendly, and made the whole trip easy and enjoyable. Seeing the volcanic landscape up close was unforgettable photos really don’t do it justice.

Everything was well organized, the pace was comfortable, and there was plenty of time to take in the views and ask questions. My family enjoyed every minute of it.

Dawn was an incredible guide for our Big Island tour. Her knowledge of Hawaii’s history, culture, and geology was impressive, and she wove in story after story that brought the island to life in a way we never could have gotten on our own. She clearly loves what she does and it showed.

We headed out for sunrise, and while the weather was gloomy that morning, it was still a nice, peaceful way to start the day. Later she brought us through a lava tube that was fascinating to walk through. Along the way she also took some really great photos of us and gave us a long list of other spots to check out for the rest of our stay.

Dawn made the day feel personal and unhurried, and we came away having learned so much more about the island than we expected. Highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I had a really great time at this tour. Dawn is a really fun and knowledgeable tour guide. We learned a lot and had fun the whole time. We also really appreciate the awesome photos she got of us on the tour to remember this special time. I highly recommend this tour if you're interested in getting to know more about Hawaiian culture and volcanoes under the beautiful stars. We had the whole place to ourselves during the tour which was also a great experience. Definitely worth getting up early in the morning for.

The views were amazing. We were able to see all the stars at that time in the morning and the lava from the volcano. It was truly special, but Dawn’s knowledge of Hawaii and volcanoes, and just the information that she was telling us made it even more special and I would tell anyone to go just so you can learn some cool things and get some cold pictures!

Coastal Tour & Geothermal Ponds

We left Hawi @ 2:30am in order to meet Dawn in time for our tour. We are NOT morning people and we all agreed it was TOTALLY WORTH IT!! The spots we visited were incredible and Dawn was fantastic and so easy to be around. We made truly magical memories that we will treasure forever. If you get the chance, book with Dawn. This was one of the more incredible experiences I’ve done on Airbnb. Dawn was so thoughtful enough to suggest that we meet earlier to ensure that we made it to the sunrise on time. Watching the sunrise was incredibly special and so beautiful, and Dawn even took the time to explain about the plant life surrounding the area. She was thoughtful and personal. The Hot Springs were so fantastically unique, had I seen them from the side of the road, I would’ve just thought that they were pools of random water. Each pond had a different story, making the morning magical. She even took an extra moment to stop at a local cemetery that I found along the way before leading me back out into the city. Hawaiian Sea Turtle & Reef Snorkel

We had a private tour with Dawn- we were one 8 year old and her grandparents. Dawn tailored our experience with a calmer area for snorkeling while still making sure we saw lots of turtles, beautiful fish, and more! Dawn was amazing with the tentative child -mahalo! - Jill

My husband, two teenagers and I all had a great time on a snorkeling adventure with Dawn - she's is so friendly and knowledgeable! She makes sure you're comfortable in the water and then you go out and explore - we saw tons of fish and it was helpful to have a guide to know where to spot them. My wife, son, and I found this to be one of our best experiences during our ten day Big Island, Hawaii stay. Seeing sea turtles basking on the sand at Punalu Black Sand beach is one (amazing) thing; seeing them literally swimming next to you and sometimes nudging you with their flippers is next level. It is a blessing to see wild animals and be with them in what feels like a trusting environment for all. We also snorkeled in a separate location where we saw fish "like swimming in an aquarium," as Dawn put it - and that was spot on. Unreal. Clear water, colorful fish, spiny sea urchins, and also living coral which was a treat to see in person. Dawn and Misty were co-captains for the group and kept us safe and respectful of the ocean environment. My wife is not a swimmer but participated in the first of the two snorkeling locations which had the option of feet on the ground the entire time. Dawn and Misty were encouraging but far from overbearing and she was really happy with the experience. Also, clean wetsuits and snorkeling equipment is provided. I had high expectations for this experience based on prior reviews but the experience exceeded even those expectations. - Amy

Such a thoughtful and magical snorkeling tour! Not only did we see a lot, turtles, fish and coral, but Dawn and Misty went out of their way to make sure we knew what we were seeing and some cool special fun facts about each thing. Dawn also provided a wide range of wetsuit sizes, water shoes to borrow, and plenty of good quality gear like masks and life vests. Still buzzing from what a great time we had. - Alyssa
