I've been hosting guests since 2017, and a few years later I began guiding tours as well. What started as a personal journey of exploration and reconnecting with a childlike sense of adventure eventually grew into Bathing Suits & Rain Boots—a name inspired by the two things you'll use most while exploring Hawaiʻi Island!
I moved to the Big Island in October 2019 after purchasing raw land and beginning the process of building a home. Just a few months later, the world changed in ways none of us expected. While 2020 brought challenges, it also gave me something incredibly valuable: time. Time to explore the island, connect with the community, and learn from the people who call Hawaiʻi home.
I was fortunate to meet mentors who shared their knowledge of the island's culture, history, plants, wildlife, hidden places, and the importance of living in harmony with the land. Those experiences shaped not only my understanding of Hawaiʻi but also my desire to share what had been generously shared with me.
Nature has always been my passion. One of the things I love most about Hawaiʻi Island is that no two visits are ever the same. You can return to the same place again and again and discover something new each time. That sense of wonder is what I hope to inspire in every guest.
Whether you're staying in one of my accommodations or joining me on a tour, my goal is to help you experience Hawaiʻi Island in a meaningful, authentic, and respectful way. As a full-time host and guide, I take great pride in creating experiences that are not only memorable and fun, but also safe, educational, and genuine.
With hundreds of 5-star reviews, I am grateful for the trust guests place in me and honored to do work that I truly love. Whether you're looking for unique island lodging, unforgettable adventures, or a deeper connection to Hawaiʻi, I look forward to helping make your time on the Big Island the best it can be.
Aloha!
